Willie C. Bobbitt, Jr. has been the Executive Director of S.A.F.E. since 2001. As one of the founding members, Mr. Bobbitt has been with the program since its inception in 1991 as a member of the Board of Directors. He has a M.A. in Mathematics Education from DePaul University, a B.S. in Accounting from Illinois State University and has his certification in Advancing Youth Development. Mr. Bobbitt was born and raised in the North Lawndale community and thoroughly understands the necessity for organizations like S.A.F.E.
 
Gladys R. Roman is the mother of one biological child and hundreds of community children. Ms. Roman has been the Assistant Director for S.A.F.E. since 1993. She attended Collins High School and continues to live in North Lawndale. She has taken courses in Child Development at Malcolm X College, attended Leadership Training workshops, and has earned a certificate in Effective Parenting Skills and Advancing Youth Development. Ms. Roman is responsible for the implementation and supervision of the daily activities of S.A.F.E.
 
Mary Ann Roman-McLaurin is the mother of two children. Mrs. Roman-McLaurin has been an active parent volunteer since 1995 and joined the S.A.F.E. staff as a part-time Adult Mentor during the summer of 1998. In the Fall of 1998, she became the full-time S.A.F.E. Administrative Assistant and Community Development Worker. She graduated from Collins High School and is a life long resident of North Lawndale. Mrs. McLaurin spent eleven years at US Robotics/3Com prior to dedicating her services to S.A.F.E. on a full-time basis.
 
Jennifer Arter is a life long resident of North Lawndale and has been with S.A.F.E. since 1998 in the capacity of an Adult Mentor/Supervisor. Ms. Arter has been the Juvenile Justice Diversion Project (JJDP) Coordinator for S.A.F.E. since 2003 and assisted the previous coordinator since 2000. She is responsible for the implementation of activities and supervision of the children involved in the JJDP program at S.A.F.E. Ms. Arter has taken courses in Child Development at the University of Illinois-Chicago, attended Leadership Training workshops, and is a certified Youth Development Practitioner.
